Kit: AMT- ERTL with fiber optic cables.

Enterprise NCC 1701-D (Galaxy-class) -ST:TNG. Launched in 2363 from the Utopia Planitia
Shipyards orbiting Mars, she spent her entire service under the command of Captain
Jean-Luc Picard. She was destroyed at Veridian III in 2371 during a mission to prevent the
destruction of the Veridian system.
The filming model (actually, there were at least four, including the one built for Generations) was designed for Star Trek:The Next Generation by Andrew Probert. It also appeared as the Odysseus and Yamato, among others.
Instructions- The main pieces of the ship assembled without any majors problems. The instructions are very detailed and not very helpful if you are not installing the cables. I assembled the two engines first being careful not to get glue on the blue light strip that runs the entire circumference of the engine. Then the main saucer assembly. Spray painted the entire ship ghost grey using Model Masters acrylics. The decals are numerous with an entire layout on where to apply them. I wanted the model to look weathered and space beaten and applied a mist of black with rust orange near the engines. There is a brief history of the ship. The kit assembled without any major problems.
